Preview input jpeg should be shown

Postby Montie » Fri Oct 21, 2011 6:56 am

Please can you add a preview jpeg when we are previewing or programming on the manager. This is very useful when pogromming off line and also during playback of show, when we don't have a clear view of the screen...

Thanks

Hi Montie?

What exactly are you talking about?
Are you speaking about a live video input? This is already on the list.

I think you mean, can you preview a server/player when you are not hooked up to it? Is this what you mean?

If that is what you mean:
Yes you can,
if you have already started programming and the devices are already loaded into the project... just right click on that server and click on "toggle preview" - as long as your assets (videos, jpegs, objects, and so on) are loaded onto the Manager's hard drive, you will be able to see it.

If you are starting from scratch - starting a new show,
Goto the "Device Types" tab, and find your type of server/player. Drag that into the "Device" tab,
Then again, right click and select "Toggle Preview" and you're set!

I hope that is what you meant.

JUST TO CLARIFY -

I am talking only purely for the manager. The live inputs cards are in the server or player. We add the live input onto the layer. In the server or player we will see the Live input eg. Data or video.

But, in the manager if we are programming or playing the timeline - there is no visual reference of the live layer.

here is where my suggestion is that if a simple jpeg saying live or the input card being used on a a white background. will be great....

Hi Montie,

so we are talking about live-inputs.
As I already mentioned in my previous post this is on our list. We will add a visual reference of size and kind of video input into the manager preview.

This is one of my wishes as well... :-)
Like always I can't promise an exact time when our developers will have a look at that, but it is definitively planned.

I was just wishing I had this on a show today... I was about to post it, but searched first... I forgot about this post... so I thought I would just - revisit it.

:)

Hi!

As we are brushing the user interface at the moment we all will have a big chance that it will be included soon.
