easy way to add "fade in/fade out"

Postby craigreilly » Wed Feb 08, 2012 10:15 pm

Be able to right click on a video on a layer and select "Fade In" or "Fade Out" and select a length of time (i.e.: 2 sec)
Right now, it is too cumbersome to add basically 4 keyframes - 2 for fade in and 2 for fade out. Then move them to the correct position, then change the opacity and beginning and end.
It seems this could be more "automated".
Thanks for the consideration.

Hi Craig,

your request is on a really good way to get fulfilled ...
I've already seen things like this.

Cheers,
Markus

Was this included in the latest update to Pandora's Box?

Hi,
I think Markus was talking about the preset function. This is indeed already implemented. You can now strore an entire set of keys from the sequence as a preset and paste it into the timeline to any other layer at any other time. Once you change the preset it will change everywhere.
But the fadein/fadeout task will only work when the containers are equally long. In that case you can program one preset containg of 4 keys and then you can paste it to the other containers simply via a double click. If the containers length differs, the preset solution will only work with two presets, one as a fade in and one as a fade out.

If he was talking about the playlist, this will come next year...

I was looking for a way to right click an item on the timeline and select "Fade In/Out" and then have a pop up "Seconds: ??" - much like the "Insert time into timeline after the current location" (not sure of the exact wording).
