Camera scaling on Player

Postby sami_rautio » Sat Mar 17, 2012 10:03 am

Would be nice to see this come true on a future release. I know I can do this (in a way) with Warper already but to be honest, it is a very slow and tedious process. So, please?

Hey guys,

so you mean, that you want to have a scale parameter on the output?

Yes please.

A scenario: A big LED screen, with a smaller projectionscreen build in. One PlayerPro does the LED, another the projection.
Normally I would show same clip, with same scaling/FX on both players.
In earlier versions I just needed to scale/position the output to make the the screens match. Thats not possible anymore, and thats a shame.

-Kasper

By the way, V5 is fantastic, stable and smooth :-)

You can add a Aeon FX - UV Mapping - Resize FX on the ouput. Then you can scale.

Hi!

Thank you Luc, for this perfect answer with the Aeon effects.
Nevertheless I can forward it to our feature wishlist...

Like always, thanks for trying to improve our software with your ideas!

The resize function seems to go only one way. For the scenario VisuaLies laid out it would need to zoom in, rather than out, which the UV Mapping -> Resize does.

Indeed, then he can use the UV Offset FX.

Now that actually works! Thanks Lucken! Guess I need to go through all the FX again, who knows what I´ve missed :D

I've been playing with zooming in on the UV FX, but I will loose the resolution... right?

Hi!

Whenever you are zooming into a picture which has the native amount pixels of your output, you will loose resolution. This is not a question of uv scale or camera scale.
Having a higher resolution as texture, you can zoom into it to receive a native resolution on an exact scale factor.
