With the multi-inspector, we have lost the ability to spread the resources of a folder if there is a folder inside of it.
For instance, I am on tour right now, we only have 1 MP Pro dongle on the stage 1 MM STD at FOH. Any time the designer makes a change and adds content, I have to shut down the client that is running, move the dongle to the backup machine and click on each individual folder and click "Spread All Selected Resources".
Before the multi-inspector, we could just click on the folder containing the entire show and click that button and it would check all of the contend and know what it needed to spread in seconds.
If we could have that ability back, that would be great!

I just tried to reproduce this issue but it worked on my side. What I've done is (please correct if you did something different):

- having the system running with Manager and Server
- closing the client
- copying new content into the project while the client is not connected
- "folder 1" contains "coolux infinity" and "folder 2"
- "folder 2" contains "PB_v4_rgb"
- starting the client again
- clicking on "folder 1" and selecting "spread all resources"
- assigning "coolux infinity" to layer 1 and bringing up the Opacity => works
- assigning "PB_v4_rgb" to layer 2 and bringing up the Opacity => works



What is different in your setup?
If we can reproduce this, we love to bring it back into the software as this is not intentionally kicked out.

Hi,

I think Justyn is talking about the button in the inspector. Before the multi-inspector came up, there was a "Spread" and a "Remove unused" button when clicking on the main project folder or a lower folder (in Markus example "transparency" or "folder1" or 2)
As a matter of fact these buttons are not available anymore, even when choosing only one folder. But there is still the option to do this via the context menu, simply make a right click on the folder...

That's exactly right.
Yes we can do this with a right click, but the button is gone.

This is really only a problem in that I am getting alot more support calls with people saying they can't spread their content.

as I have never in my live used this button I couldn't get, that you are meaning that one.
