WD Playlist Fade

Hi there,
I'm working on the playlist and I noticed that the first layer involved doesn't fade out so the opacity is fixed at 255 and only the second layer is in fade in/out. Would be nice to have the real crossfade between layers, because is not nice to see the cut on the fade.

Cheers!

Hi Ricky,

this is a good point. I do not see exactly what you mean with the cut, but a real crossfade is definitely looking different.
I will forward this to our developers.

Cheers

Hi Markus,
I forgot to specify that the cut effect is especially noticeable in playlists composed by images with alpha channel. When the second layer appears you can see behing the first layer that at the end of the fade is cutted out.

Cheers!

Hi!

I cannot reproduce the issue with looking through the first (background) layer.
Are you seeing things behind it? The alpha is used for the BG-layer as well, that it is transparent for a while? Do I get you right?

Hi Markus,
that behavior is normal since there is not croosfade but onli fade in/out of the second layer (in front)...if you have on second layer a picture with alpha channel you can see the behind layer during the fade since it changes the content. The layer behind is always at full opacity so you can see the content change in snap.
By the way...the only way to solve the issue is to have the real crossfade between layers.

Hi Ricky,

you shouldn't see any kind of content change while it is visible. Maybe your preroll is too short that the fade already started while you haven't loaded the new content.
May this be the issue?

Nevertheless your desire is on the list.
