It would be great if the inspector could show the type and Codec of a file.

I have been receiving some MPEG2 files lately that have been giving me some problems.

Also

It would also be great if the inspector could show the Bit Rate of Audio - just WAV files, AND the bit rate when it is in a video.
I have started using an Audio interface (RME Fireface UFX) and have run into some issues with different bit rates arriving and would like to know if they are going to work or not at a glimpse. (this keeps happening even after I've specified the bit rate that I need to receive)

This definitely makes sense. I set it on the list.
Hopefully it will be part of one of the next versions. As we are improving our user interface at the moment it has a good chance to be implemented soon.
