Point Out used content.

Postby runcdfirst » Fri Oct 12, 2012 11:21 am

Hi,

maybe will be useful if we can point out the content that we used in the project.
so when some new files coming, we can easily know which one is the last used or which one is already used.

could be a nice idea?

Dado.

Hi Dado,

we have something like that on our Feature List already and I agree this would help a lot.

Hi Dado,

you do not mean to remove the unused content out of the project, do you?
There is the possibility to "remove unused content" which will get rid of all clips and assets which are not programmed to the timeline.

I think an additionally useful variant of this would be if you could color-tag content in the project stack, and have the containers in the sequence inherit the color as well.

For us who uses dmx/artnet and no timeline, it would be great with a kind of log that marks used/unused content.

Lets say we run a show within a set time, 1, 2 or 3 hours.

All content used within this period could be marked, then we could manually remove unused content. Or maybe have an automatic function to do it for us.

Please do not forget the lightboard users that do not use timelines ;-)

Hi Kasper,

this is a method I could already offer right now:
Use the Video Logger tool from the Widget and get a list of played back content. Use the .csv-file to get a list within a spreadsheet and you can remove your content.
Of course, the other way would be easier (for you), but for now, this is an option which already works.
