QR Reader

Postby JustynR » Sat Nov 24, 2012 8:54 pm

I have a couple of applications where a QR reader would be great.

I have a show early in the new year where this capablility has been requested by a client. Of course they want to see a demo of it soon though if it is possible :-(.

To have this capability would be great using either an input or StreamX.

Thanks,

J

You mean to trigger something through widget?

Yes.
Either we have a script written in the qr code... Or a value hat can be put into a node and taken from there.

Maybe something like this:

That was just the first google result I saw. There are probably more opensource type solutions out there.

Not sure what device you are using to scan things. But if you can get the scan output into tcp or udp...

Hi!

Combining a mobile phone with a QR code, a WiFi and the new WD 4.0 with Webserver could be a solution.
As you can define your own website with the widget you could refer to that one and initialize whatever you want by reaching that side.

Just a quick thought to stay independent from special devices.
