some kind of cue-list showing where and how often i used a specific media in the timeline. would be enough to get tc where the dedicated container begins.

also interesting to get the way back. in which folder of the project-tree is the in media right now marked in the timeline.

your second idea is already on the list. It will be a context menu with "reveal media in project tree" or something similar.

I will set the other way onto the list. So far, you could read that from the xml-file if you know how to parse information out of it. We are developing an overview tool to gather all information like cues and stuff within a list. Maybe this would be the first step.
