After adding a keyframe in the timeline and setting a value for, say, opacity, the value is not updated in the devices tree until the sequence is played for a short time.

Hi,

that is correct. The device Tree is not updated in realtime, because of performance considerations.
The device tree only refreshes every PAuse of the timeline. You might notice, that values also do not change while the timeline is running.
