Level meter for SMPTE link

Postby Linton9 » Thu Dec 06, 2012 6:04 pm

It would be really nice to be able to monitor the incoming level on the SMPTE link cable. Often there are so many devices and connections between the timecode source and the manager, this could be a really useful tool for fault finding. Clipping or peaking SMPTE timecode will ruin a show!

Hi,

good Idea. I know exactly what you mean.
We are checking if our device is caplable of delivering that information.
No Promises if it can be done or when it will be done.

Is there a 'like' button for this post? :P

Am doing a show right now and receiving smpte timecode from audio to trigger my videos on the timeline.
But when the audio console is like miles away.... and have no control to what the f**k they are doing

Having a level meter to monitor the signal sending in will be soooo nice...

Hope we will get a christmas present soon :D

Any news on this feature? I would really love to have a meter for SMPTE in levels. Please implement this.
