WDSave

Postby JustynR » Mon Mar 04, 2013 4:08 am

When building a Widget, I usually make an auto save node chain. I use Clock - Modulo - Script.

It would be nice to be able to change the WDFileName variable followed by WDSave and have it save with the new variable value.
Trying this now, I can change the Variable, but once I click save or execute the sript WDSave, it changes it back to the orignal name and then saves.

I am trying to enumerate the saves - or add a date to the auto save to preserve anything I had done the day before (I had something fail and lose most of a Widget I made).

Thank you,

Hi Justyn,

you are trying to edit an application variable. Maybe this is not the best idea! ;-)
I think the better way would be to ask for an autosave option, wouldn't it?

Maybe you have a chance to automate copying the showfile once it has been saved and edit the name.
