WARPER - Straighten Up points

Select two non-adjacent mesh (or FFD) points in the same line (vertical or horizontal). I would love to have a command that will straighten all "in between" mesh or FFD points creating a straight line between the two points.
Simple and extremely useful imho.

Or multiple select (in horizontal or vertical only) , and make a straight line between the two ends of selection.

The next step , or an additional checkbox option, to this command, would be to equidistantly distribute the contained (within the 2 originally selected points) FFD or Mesh points.
