UX warnings and notifications

I would really like to see some better warning systems in PB.

There are a few places this could improve, but the biggest one that comes to mind right away is if a piece of content is not spread to a site and the user attempts to assign it to a layer on that site then it should be a different color. Any container with un-spread content should also be clearly marked.

I can't tell you how many times I have had users that I have had to support where the solution turns out to be spreading. I have made this mistake myself several times when I am tired and distracted.

There are other places where warnings could be improved - content types that are out of spec, checkboxes for spare from spread/mute external input, hidden sites, non-default parameters that are not on the timeline or active, etc. Many of these could and should have clear color codes or icon notifications. The information is in the software, but it is not being conveyed the user and when we lose track of it we end up hunting for ghosts in the machine.
