Hi Matze,

you can create different views. The view also recalls shown and hidden layers.

Is that what you were looking for. If not, please explain in more detail what you mean.

hi daniel,

to do this via show and hide devices is not what i need.

so, what i thought about... i just give an example:
5 layers are for a background-split. for a transition i have to use all in all 10 layers. quite a lot space in the timeline-window. so i want to mark first 5 layers, group them and compact them after using by clicking a little "-" in front of the group in the device-tab. so only one layer-row is used for the first 5 layers and a second one for the second 5 layers. so i'm able to compact 10 layers to only 2. for making changes i just have to unfold the group by clicking the little "+"...the same workflow like in the assets-tab for folding and unfolding folders.

regards to cologne.

Hi Matze,

now I understand and I like it.
This would be a great feature.
I will add it to the list.

I like this!

But at the same time, when it's collapsed you can click on the group master and control the attributes in all of the layers inside of the group.

Click on the master and change the opacity on all of them at once... AND be able to grab all of the key frames for all of the layers by selecting one on the group master!

Ahhh... to dream!

it would be awesome if this behaved like the Pre-Composition feature in after effects.

That is really the best way to describe it....

Another AWESOME "Pre-Composition" feature would be the ability to "Nest" timelines inside of a timeline.
This is a feature of Watchout that I really like, it keeps things a lot more organized... but grouping layers I suppose is really just about the same thing.
