Content Managment/Revisions

hi,

so when you import videos into the project tab,
it creates an "alias" for it,
which you use to drag it onto your conatiners as content for them.

in the inspector you see the directory and Names of this "alias".

would it be possible to implement "Revisions" of this "alias" ?

so in the inspector,
additional ( like a sub popup/dropdown or seperate window) you can see wich content "revision" is currently used.

also,
an info cell that tells you if the OTHER revisions are different in time from the CURRENT revision USED in the containers locked to time.

so when you import content from the assets tab,
there should be a right click option ( with the alias in the project tab selected, not the folder)
where you can choose to import the new asset as a revision of the selected one.

should make it easier for already programmed content updates/changes.
it should only be used for the purpose of content updating.

possible?

i know the current workflow is to use the widget designer with attach/dettach resources.
however,
it would be great,
combined with the inspector,
to have it directly in the manager.
:-)

also it would be great if this could be combined with "remove unused resources" within the manager,
so you can choose if "revisions" should be removed or kept of used contents.
:-)

Hi Roman,

these are definitely good ideas.
The topic content management is definitely a big one and high on our priority list to work on.

I definitely like the idea to integrate the revisions as well into the unused resources. I guess (in addition or solely), we would need a button to only remove unused revisions.

Stay tuned...
