Hi everyone,

Thanks to Coolux and our nice bump post we did get a big step in terms of codecs with the HAP implementation.

As uncompressed demands with best image quality come in much more now, and as with the new HMS 1 third party hardware with Player Pro licences on the market now we also have an option to playback 4K uncompressed without a glitch, I would love to also see tif sequences next to BMP.

Most content guys are able to produce tif much easier than BMP. And we also want to get away of converting all files. So tif would be a very good next step into a better codec world.

What do you guys think? If you like that idea, just give that post a bump and lets see what happens.

All the best

Patrick

Tiff is definitely more widely accepted than BMP.
Is there a benefit to BMP?

Hi,

Tiff support is on the feature wishlist.
Reasons for BMP:
BMP is much more straight forward than TIFF and BMP is also a nativ Windows format. BMP is also always uncompressed.
TiFF can be compressed and uncompressed. TIFF can also be in different ColorSpaces like RGB or CMYK or YCbCr or have multiple images in 1 file.
