create 16bit fixture

Postby wijnand » Sat Oct 31, 2015 7:51 pm

Hi,
I'm trying to create a 16 bit fixture for pixelmapping.. I'm planning to use a lot of SGM P5's in RGBW 16-bit mode. Cannot make this happen using the create fixture function.
For DMX fictures you can edit the .clib file to make it work the way you want it, but the pixelmapper doen't share the same fixture library?

Anyone any thoughts?

I think that it'd be pretty pointless to use the fixtures in 16 bit mode...
PB (and any other server I can think of) only runs in 24 bit colour = 8 bit per channel x 3.

If you can figure out how to do it, those extra channels would likely remain at 0 as there wouldn't be any information for them anyways.

Save some universes!

Hey,

Justin is right. If you have it in 16 bit, then there is usually one 8 bit for coarse and one 8 bit fine channel. You can simply offset each channel by one (basically skipping the fine channels).
