4.5 Matrix and warp problem

Hi,

Just installed v 4.5 and for some reason the matrix patcher and warp tool won't run. They just give an error right after starting.
The Media server software runs fine though.
The Patcher and warptool that came with the previous releases run fine though.

Also installed on a media player here, and everything works just fine.

Downloaded and installed the latest dongle drivers (from this forum) and installed. But no change.
Did a full windows update. No change
Upgraded vga drivers, no change.

Any more ideas?

Hi Gmoors,

The Dongle Driver seems to be right, otherwise you would not be able to run the PB software.

What kind of error message do you get? Is it about .net framework? DirectX?
Please check if you still have .net framework (download it here from our forum: viewtopic.php?f=77&t=161) and this DirectX Version (viewtopic.php?f=76&t=155) on your computer, or just try to reinstall it. Sounds as if something of this is missing..

Think about it, if you run the DirectX file, it first just unpacks all files, afterwards you have to run the setup !

Downloaded and installed this direct x version. But still no patcher and no warp tool.
.net is still there in the most recent version.

I have attached a screenshot with the error, but this is not a big help.

hm, hard to say what´s going wrong.

We have some more questions:
Zhe screenshot you attached, is this the first and only error message you get?
Does the errormessage appear BEFORE you see any program starting, or do you get the splashscreen and the GUI and than it brakes down?
Are any windows services under msconfig disabled?
Warper and Patcher from Version 4.1 are still working? And Pandoras Box Software starts with dark skin?

This is the first and only error message.
This appears right after double clicking to start the application. I displays before I see anything starting, so no splashscreen, gui,..

Yes, the older versions are still starting, and the pandoras box software starts with the dark skin.

I've attached a list with disabled services.

Hi Geert,

I´m sorry, but we cannot really say why you have the problem with the new warper/patcher. The big difference between the old and new versions is the skinning.
Just to get sure - could you start the computer with no service disabled, maybe one of these is missing and causes the error. Did you try to install the software on another pc? Still the same problems?

Hi Julia,

Both our media servers have this problem. (they are identical in hardware an software updates).
Maybe I should just try a clean install in windows.
I also installed it on our media player, and on this system it just works.

Can you install the new PB Menu software on the servers ? Does this work ?
