Warping bug?

Postby nilskreter » Tue Apr 10, 2012 3:23 pm

Hi All,
using the Warper to "corner pin" some textures, we get some really strange results.
In the Warper it looks pretty good, but once we loaded the .x file on a layer in the Manager, the texture is duplicated an squeezed outside the FFD frame.
The only solution we found is to delete and re-warp the specified surface. Sometimes the bug goes away, mostly it stays and some other times it appears on an other surface?!

(I uploaded a picture of the described problem)

Has anybody encountered the same problems and knows how to solve it?

Regards

Hi,

this is a know issue which is caused by zooming the texture smaller than one. The Problem is that it will also happen if you bring the zoom up again. So whenever you did zoom below 1, you will get that weird object. We are working on that and currently testing a new version of the warper which will solve that issue. Until we can release that version the workaround is to keep the zoom above 1.

sorry for that and best regards

Patrick

Hi Patrick,

thanks for that quick reply!
Unfortunately it doesn't appear to be the the source of our problem: The only value under 0 is our Y-offset.

Zoom: 1,582
A: 1,11
Z: 0,03
X Off: 0,1795
Y Off: -0,153

We also have a little mesh distortion inside, but we paid attention that it doesn't overlap the FFD frame...

Best regards

Another workaround is to split the texture in two parts...

Hi Nils,

can you please send your .wrp file to support@coolux.de including a short desription of your problem or the link to this forum page.
That way we can look inside the file to check what goes wrong.

Thanks

Patrick
