Warping a client from a manager

Postby visulize » Sat Nov 17, 2012 11:24 pm

Ok maybe I'm missing something obvious. But.

In a manager / client situation can I create a warp on the client machine live remotely from the manager

I can obviously start the warper on the manager and create a warp then apply it to the remote client. But I won't be able to see the warp outputting on the client only on the managers screen.

Maybe I'm missing something obvious. ??

The easiest way to do it with the current release is to use the PB Menu.

From there you can connect to your Client via VNC.

Connect to your Client and exit the Client,
Start the Warper and you've got the Warper on that computer.

When exporting the .X file, make sure you put it in a folder that is relevant to your show so you can find it to bring it into your project.

Hi there
that what I have been doing up until now..

Just thought I might be missing a trick on this.
Maybe one for the wish list but I would love to see an ability to do this from inside the manager on remote clients.

Hi!

Please have a look into the manual and find the "dynamic warping". You will find a possibility to remotely warp a 3x3 FFD-grid while seeing it on the screen.

As the warper is a completely different application, you will not have access to all parameters. Implementing the warper into Pandoras Box is one part of our future roadmap, but will not be address within the direct future.
