Maybe this is the basics of 3D mapping. But I'm struggling with 3D objects. How (in what program of in that way) do I create a 3d content.

In which type of files you I make the object and the content. And how do I link the content to the right place in the 3d shape.

With kind regards,

Sijmen

Hi Sijmen,

Here are the answers:

There are lots of programs that are capable of doing that, but I suggest you use Blender. It is free and has lots of documentation, tutorials with a strong community.

Pandoras Box uses Direct X Objects (*.x). You can also convert *.3ds files from 3Dstudio Max using the Pandoras Box 3D Warper.

This process is called "UV-Mapping". You usually do that when you are creating the object in your 3D modeling software. To some extend, you can also use the Pandoras Box Warper for that.

Also, this post could be interesting for you: Using Blender to create 3D Objects for Pandoras Box

I too suggest Blender. I already used it for making model for warping/mapping in Pandoras Box when we demonstrated it for customers

Tutorials on YouTube and Vimeo alone hold tremendous amount of knowledge, but a good idea is to start with main site www.blender.org
You should generally focus on modeling and UV mapping techniques and strategies, and later maybe texture painting - as bonus, if at all.

Maybe someday I will try "camera tracking" feature for recreating more complex and bigger shapes (buildings ect.) ;)
