Right angles rather than bezier curves

Postby claude.rivet » Mon May 05, 2014 9:21 pm

Good day,

I am warping a surface and need to warp a corner, since when you move a point it makes a curve rather than an angle it is kinda difficult. The only way I found was to use two meshes edge butting in the corner but I was wondering if there was a way to move a point in such way that it performs an angle rather than a curve, am I in luck?

thanks!

I find it easier to use 2 meshes - and then change the settings under Texture (or use planar mapping first) to match the UVW map up so you can still use 1 file on the output in PB.

You can also edit like a square by just editing the Mesh instead of the FFD.

You can find how to control the differences in the help file.

I hope this helps!

It was more out of curiosity, I was wondering if there was a modifier key or something but yeah, in the end I simply used 3 meshes and it works very well.

I agree with Justyn, you can go in and edit via points to make a right angle bend, but in reality I find it alot easier to use multiple meshes.
