Mesh & Warp

Postby kris_goubert » Fri Dec 04, 2009 4:28 pm

Workdflow :

Make warp in Pandora Warper. Export as mesh. Transfer to media manager in network.
Put in content folder in as an assset. Spread all recourses....
Then you have a red mark over the .x and the .clx files (custom made ones and object from coolux content dvd)
How do you put the mesh/warp files in de camera layers of a project ??

THx

If there is a red mark on the object files, then it means that they are inconsistent for Pandoras Box.
Click on the file, look into the inspector tab. Here you can see the file location for the master and clients. Are these OK ?

Putting it on the camera:
- select the camera in the device tree
- double click on the object (exported mesh) or drag and drop it to tha camera
- in the camera control tab, you can see that the object is attached to it

Hi,

please restart the client again and check if the red mark is gone now. There is a known bug about that on the release version. If you had been in Full Screen Mode and go back to windowed mode all still content like jpegs and x files will be inconsitent if you load them in after going back to windowed mode.

This problem will be solved within the next release. For so long you need to restart the client after going back to windowed mode.
Sorry for that, this will be fixed soon.

If this does not help please give me a feedback to find out what is wrong.

Best regards

Patrick

Hi Patrick & Luk,

Thanks for the help. It is indeed a bug. When you restart the client is works. Thanks.

Next issue. Is it possible to make a mesh where you "cache" the image instead of deform it ?
See attachment !

Hi Kris,

yes it is possible - but not using the PB Warper.
Did you try to work with Gmax? It´s a streamlined version of 3ds max in which you can also cut out specific areas of your object.

Please have a look in our download section for gmax(viewforum.php?f=61), here you will find all necessary plugin files. The software you can download from here: http://www.turbosquid.com/gmax

Please also see these forum posts to get an overview and some examples of how to create fitting objects for PB:

Have fun with gmax!
