Can you please explain a lit more what you are trying to to.
Do you want to record the timeline? Or do you want to use an Audio Input on the Timeline?

You will have to get your corresponding audio input from the liveinputs into the project and can now place it on the timeline.
ASIO Liveinputs only work on ASIO Tracks.
DIrect Show Liveinputs work on VideoLayers.
