PB Player Layer Size restrictions

hi,
i know this has been discussed a lot,
and i get it why there have to be restrictions,
but...

would it be possible in any way,
if i have 4 dongles on one PC, setup as multi dongles,
that those also increase the size of the video i'm allowed to play back on a single layer?

currently,
all layers are restricted by 4K...
so,
if i have 2 dongles, it would be 8K...
3 dongles, 12K...
4 dongles 16K...

it's hard to compete in the lower price markets with all that "VJ advanced to Mediaserver" programs,
just because, depending on the codec they use, they are able to play back stuff up to 16K...

the main disadvantage here is that i have to split my content into max. 4k pieces...
which slows down the whole production workflow...
and i run out of layers pretty quick :-)

thoughts?

best,
Roman

That make no sense because if it’s like that than nobody would buy a server.
A server has 3 big things that make sense.

1. Video Layer - (just plug in more dongle)
2. supports up to 16x16k Video content.
3. Share layer texture.

Everything else you can write shaders to get the features.

Best regards,

Benni
