Windows 10 1909 - safe to use?

Hi PB Support Team, is the latest version of Windows 10 safe to use for Manager and WD, etc?
This being Windows 1909.

Hi Jeremy,
Version 1909 has not been fully tested.
What I can say is that there are no known issues so far running PB Manager 6.4.0 or any of the Tools.
We do not expect any problems, but there have been no real tests with WD or Players running in fullscreen.

We just found out, that Windows 1909 sometimes has problems with not accepting the digital signature of drivers.
We had this one more than 1 machine for our USB drivers (Fader Extention, SMPTE Link, etc).
To solve this, install the current Version of the driver from the download section, if you get the error code 52. Uninstall the device and delete the driver, install an older version of the driver and than reinstall the new version.
For some reason Windows than accepts the driver.
Other Windows 1909 installations do not have that problem at all and so far we were not able to figure out when it happens.

hmmm interesting.
I have had my USB controllers working fine, however i have had them go offline a couple of times and i have had to unpluga nd replug to get them going again.
i have not had any issues with drivers on installation.
have the problems you have had Daniel happen on computers with a fresh installation of 1909 or on a computer that was upgrasded from a previous version? (eg 1703)

yeah ok thats interesting. i have heard that some installs are better if you do the inplace upgrades rather that a fresh install...interesting.

If i am right, today is not safe to use windows 10 with pandoras box? but compact player is using windows 10 , i would like to renew my players hardware and now is not easy to find hadware that have windows 8.1 drivers, is any windows 10 version that will be supported soon?

Hello,
Pandoras Box does support Windows 10, including version 1909.
It is not recommended to update the operating system on Pandoras Box hardware, it then becomes custom hardware and we can only support the software.
