hi,
from version 6.5.x onwards,
do we need any of the, for example quick time installer, from the pb download page?
or is everything needed included in the installer?
is it still the same case, not to install the coolux .dds imagesequence codec on the same system running pb?

maybe a few notes from coolux in general regarding this might be helpful.

Hi Roman,

Starting Version 6.5 Pandoras Box does not depend on Apple QuickTime for playing back mov files or generating Thumbnails.
But we still need Apple QuickTime for the QuickTime Converter for example. So if you want to use the QuickTime Converter you still need to download it and install it.

If you experience any problems on machines that do not have QuickTime installed please let us know.
All the c++ Redist, Dongle Driver and USB Device Driver should be in the installer.

how about the .dds codec?
it's in my head not to install the codec itself on systems running pb...

is that still the case,
or just a ghost in my head?

Hi Roman,

I see no reason not to do that.
You should have never installed the old HAP Quicktime Codec, because that could interfear with internal codecs.
