Hi,

I've just added a license to Pandora's Box v6 onto my USB key.

Installation of the PB manager on the master system worked flawlessly, however
its unclear on how to go about installing it on my Quad server hardware.

I didn't need a 2nd dongle to run the client software on v5. How do I go about updating the server software version?

The installer says no license detected when run on the server hardware, but if I swap the dongle onto the server machine, it'll only install the Manager software.

How do I update the server software version? Do I need the server management tool to do it properly?

Sounds like you are updating from Version 5 to Version 6?
Or are you updating from Version 6 to Version 8?

A Server also has a Dongle. It is on a USB Port inside the computer.

You will need to read out that dongle and than you can update the license.

For this update, do I just send a dongle readout from my server to the email update email to update the license on the server? How long would that take?

WouldI be able to still open V5 with that same license?

Hi,

first. An update never takes old licenses away. That means you will be able to do exactly what you were able to do before.

Timeframe: That depends on the tyoe of license you want to update and if it is a free update or if you have to pay for it.

Easiest ist to contact you local distributor or just send the dongle file to the update email adress and they will tell you next steps and possible costs.
