Installation of V5 after installing V6 fails

Hi all,

I wonder if this was an unfortunate accident or if it is reproducable:

I just installed WD V6 on a freshly set up Win 8.1 system. After installing this, I found out I need to use V5 instead of V6 (existing project with V5 environment).
At the beginning of the V5 setup procedure (2500) a message pops up I've never seen before when I tried to install V5:
"This setup requires the .NET Framework version 2.0. Please install the .NET Framework and run this setup again. The .NET Framework can be obtained from the web. Would you like to do this now?"

And Idea where to find a .NET 2.0 offline installer that might fix this problem? Can't find anything on the Microsoft website the "Yes" button guides me to.

Thanks in advance!
Sebastian

Hi,

you will need to install .NET 3.5 which includes .NET 2.0 and 3.0

It is in the download area.
Driver - net.framework
But I recommend 4.0 or 4.5.

Hi Benni,
to have a working .NET installation for WD, you need .NET 3.5 and .NET 4.0 - cause .NET 2.0 includes some software details which are needed for the WD, but not longer included in .NET 4.0
