WD 6.5 bug: .png resources not showing

there's probably an issue with WD 6.5.
Some .png resources assigned to CustomScripts buttons (it happens also with PictureBoxses) are not showing after I updated the software from 6.1.3 to 6.5.
By manually reloading the resource, it appears again for some time but if I save, close and reload the project the CS buttons have again no resource - they appear as trasparent Custom Scripts.
Any hint? Should I roll back to 6.1.3?
