Hello Coolux,

It’s been a while, but fully in the research modus.

For a classroom with 30 pc’s and 1 teachers PC desk I would like to use WD for several reasons:

- route NDI Streams from one PC to all the other pc’s
- communicate between teacher and student from Student console to Teacher Console.

My 3 questions to you are:

- is WD capable of routing that many (31) NDI streams?
- have there been tests with NDI streams in an overview?

For the communication I would like to use an XLS as the basis for communication. Students reply to questions, and the input is written in an XLS. At the end, this is dumped in a CSV. But the XLS also brings the question to the student.

- Is there a way within WD to go to a next XLS tab? In this way a teacher can prepare questions per tab and get the answers per tab back from the students.

interesting Project.
Regarding NDI and amount of NDI Streams. There have not been test with this many NDI Stream and I am not sure if it will work for 2 reasons. a) NDI is CPU heavy and b) NDI is network heavy.
31 NDI Connections each running at 1080p60 will generate a lot of Traffik and b) a big load on your CPU. I guess if you Main System has a 10G Card and a very strong CPU it might be possible.

I guess a lot of test are needed to confirm that it would actually work.
