Alternate Spread content way

I would like to spread the content also if the pandoras box system is closed is any way or another software to automate this process ?

I don't think so. Maybe with Widget Designer... but you would have to write a lot of scripts for this.

Please help me understand why you want to do it.
PandorasBox spreading happens inside PB, because PB needs to know on which Client each files is stored. It also checks length and framerate for each client.

Spreading outside of PB would lead to a lot of problems right now.

What you can do, is copy the files using a network sync tool, but you will still need to run a spread command in order for PB to know that the files are there.
Depenging on the sync tool PB might not need to copy the file over the network again.

Hi,

The main reason is that often when i arrive to the event we have a lot of content to copy to the system and usually the licenses flight with me, and i need to wait until the system has copy all the media in all of the servers, will be very nice if we can so the pread process without dongles.

Try using Teracopy and see if it works.

Workflow could be:

Start all Computers and put them on a network
Sync Time between Computers. PB Menu / PB Servermanagement helps here.

Copy all Content to Manager
Use TeraCopy to Copy Content over the network to all clients. Make sure folder structure is the same.

Attache Dongles
Start Manger
Turn of Autospread
Insert all content into projekt
Start Spread.

There is a good chance, that PB findes the files at the destination and does not copy it again. But no garantee. It depends on several things.
