Watch Folder hap Problem

Hi,

does anyone know what the problem with Watch-Folder and hap is ? I have added in my Project a Watch Folder and it doesn't see any hap files in there. mp4 still works. And if i add the hap Files over my assets to the Project they work fine.

Had somone the same problem or any solution ?

Watch folder does not work at all, we are using 8.6.2

I can confirm that Version 8.6.x has Problems with watchfolders and all Contents that are consided to be Imagesequences.
These are DDS in MOV, HAP, HAPQ, HAP Alpha and NotchLC.
Not affected should be all images, MPEG2, MPEG4 and so on.

The developers are working on a fix.
The fix will not make it into the initial 8.7.0 Release which is right around the corner and in final testing.

If you need Watchfolders please stay on Version 8.5.1 until this is fixed.

Hi guys,

I'm using 8.7.0 and I've been having a lot of problems with watchfolders and files as image sequences (hap, dds, ...). Initially they used to load correctly, but after a few days it wouldn't load them anymore, even when creating new folders and filling them with new files. Even the classic import from the asset tab does not work with these file types, only by using the advanced import was I able to load the files as image sequence within the project.

Anyone else still having problems with version 8.7.0 as well?

Your reported and confirmed bug was fixed in 8.7

fixed: Watched folders are working with mov-file image sequences. (ticket 9087)

I am not aware what exactly the other problems are or where.

Attention: the local node needs to be manifested in order to import mov files which contain image seq (e.g. HAP, NotchLC, ...)
