Import Markers from adobe soundbooth?

Postby rik uyttersprot » Thu Oct 23, 2014 10:13 am

Hello,

Is there a way to import a markerset (xml document) from adobe soundbooth into the timeline?

It's so much easier to search for cuepoints in a wave file in adobe soundbooth. basicly because you can see the waveform and you can hear the sound when you drag de time cursor over it (easy to search for the start of for example a beat)
In soundbooth you can add markers and save them as a seperated file.

If this file could be opened in the manager you can select them all and drag them to the start of that same wave file and add cuepoints to the markers.

I'want to use this to trigger a lighting console .
there are a lot of cues, if this would be possible it would make the workflow so much faster.

best Regards Rik

Hi Rik,

Right now, there is no direct Import.
I do not know the filestructure of the soundbooth file, you can propably write yourself an importer and use the SDK to create the cues for you.
Should be fairly simple for someone with experience in .net or c#.
Or you convert the file into a csv or so and create a WD file that will read the csv and create a cue for each line in the csv.
Or you can use phyton or php and import it using the PB Webserver.
