Windows 8.1 setting and hardware question?

Is there a some list of settings/tweaks/updates etc. i should do to clean windows 8.1 install to run Player STD best as possible?

My hardware:

i7 5820k 3.3
32 Gig Crucial ballistics DDR4
Asus X99 Extreme
Strix GeForce GTX 970 4gig
BMD Quod SDI Input
System at Samsung pro ssd drive and Media at Raid stripe 128k (2pc Samsung pro ssd drives)

I think hardware is ok. Newest drivers for all components.

Everything works nice, but i just want to be sure that i have everything setup correctly.

Hi Teemu,

if you install PB Menu 229 ist will do a lot of tweaks for you.

* Deactivate Charms Bar
* Deactivate Windows Key

You should make your PC what I call "Presentation Safe", meaning:

* all Powersafe options deactivated
* no Screensafe
* no Windows sounds
* no other Programms running in the background
* deactivate Virusscan (!!! Dangerous if you attach USB Sticks or Harddrives from uncertain heritage or if you are connected to the Internet!!)
* deactivate Firewall (!! same risks as Virusscan)
* deactivate Automatic Updates
* deactivate all Tools that are not needed
* deactivate Search
* deactivate Defrag

the usual things.

The Hardware sounds like as if it will do a great job.

I have a problem with pbmenu.

It won't start master or client. (Pandoras box: Version not found)

Did you Configure PB Menu?

The Doumentation is still for XP, but the concept stays the same.
