- add the "serial link" device to your device tab (out of the "Device Types")
- select the serial link and open the inspector
- deselect "use serial link header"
- type in the right IP-address of the projector and its connection port (e.g. 3002 for Christie Mirage 3D projectors)
- click "apply IP and port"
- now the red exclamation mark on the serial link device disappears
=> you are connected to the projector
