Setting up custom resolution modes with Nvidia Cards

Postby Julia Foest » Thu Dec 11, 2008 4:46 pm

Dear all,

as there are many resolutions that are not always accessible by default from the Nvidia Cards, Nvidia supports the setup of custom resolution modes per output. In many cases it helps using the listed modes in the table as these are timings that are also supported by a Folsom Image Pro HD.
Please download: http://www.coolux.de/root/downloads/sup ... _modes.pdf

We have even seen situations where EDID settings of an attached device (even EDID Managers) did cause problems and setting up a custom mode for that particular device would solve the issue.

Regards,
Julia

Hey Julia,

Another important question about Drivers :

For MediaPlayer PRO and Standart Version of dongles, most of case we will using a Quadro FX 4600
The official pandora driver we are using on servers is the 177.79 but this driver is not compatible with this card. we experiment this problem on a show for our society with Daniel.
Can you tell us wich version of driver we need to use to be fully compatible with the actual 2455 version of PB ?
For the moment we are using WHQL ones 166.65

Thanks.

Hi Anthony,

we did not test the Nvidia Quadro FX 4600, so we cannot really say which driver would be the best.
If you try the newest drivers for you card, you maybe get better results.

On the Nvidia website there is the WHQL 178.46 available.

Hope this fixes your problems..

Julia
