Oculus rift Pandora settings

Postby rubendesnoo » Wed Oct 02, 2013 3:43 pm

Hi,

I am going to make a set up with pandora's box and oculus rift.
How do I need to make a good camera set up in pandora?
I guess I need to send one output to the oculus drift with two different camera perspectives, but it looks like camera one is connected to output one and camera two is connected to output two.

How do I get these two cameraviews visible in one output?

Fixed by enabling sterioscopic features.

Hello,

For everyone wondering where to enable this:

The stereoscopic mode can be enabled by setting stereoscopicMode=1 in the tweak_config.txt
You can find the tweak_config.txt in the Pandoras Box program files folder: C:/ProgramFiles/coolux/PandorasBox V5 Rev something something/data/config/

Hi,
is this also possible within the offline manager,
or only on a real server,
since you need fullscreen output?

thx,

Hey guys,

without tweaking files within your installation path, you can easily use the "sub-division" within the "configuration - render engine".
http://www.coolux.de/root/downloads/sup ... engine.htm

If you subdivide your output by two and assign the appropriate outputs to it, you will see both cameras / outputs on a single screen as well.
Maybe this is the easier way to achieve it with the advantage, that it will be stored within the showfile and will not be needed to be tweaked again when changing hardware or revisions.

Cheers

Roman,

as both, the tweak config and the described workflow above is only visible on the final screen, you will not be able to use this within an offline manager.
The Manager can only preview one discrete Pandoras Box output and does not show the final result on the physical output.
