Loop Jump issue

Postby SpykeGM » Tue May 06, 2014 6:44 pm

Hi,

I have a problem when my media are playing in loop mode. At the first loop (and all the others) I have a jump, or something like the video is pausing for few ms and restart.
I try different settings : optimize looping, use buffer memory...but its the same. I have One Timeline which is during 10s, one cue point at the start of the timeline and an pause point at 5s. My media aren't lock to time.
All players are jumping at the same time.
But my medias are good looped...
Players : Dual Players, Nvidia K4000
Manager : LT, Nvidia K2000

What could do that? Even a manager setting or player setting?

Thanks,

Gaetan

What is the codec you're running?

I've had issues with very large Quicktime movies...

Try and encode it with the Manager to Mpeg 2.

It's a Mpeg2 codec inside a .M2V
I have other installation whith other manager and player but with same media and have no problem with it.
I'll try it tomorrow
Thanks

Please check if your m2v is Contant Bitrate or Varibale Bitrate. It should be Contant.

I try with another pilot : NOK
When I transcode a media with the encoder extension, I have the Issue to.
I'm a little bit lost :) I never see that and never had problem before.

Oh No it isn't...
Very strange, I re-encode all my medias with the PB encoder with HD 1080 settings. Some medias are looping with no issue on one of my players but not the on the others. Some medias Aren't looping well on each players... Each time, at the looping point, I see a purple Image. I'm in Optimize looping mode...
May be it could be a hardware problem? Graphic card? CPU?
Ever see that?

Hi,

So...I have change all my Players Hardware and it works fine. I use the same graphic card and it works.
The main difference I see is that processors are different :
- 2GHz (bi-proc) on the hardware on wich I have the loop issue
- 2,8Ghz on the hardware wich is working

Do you think this could explain the problem?

Regards,

Gaetan
