Seeing your warp live in Venue Sites

Postby buchie » Sun Jun 08, 2014 2:42 pm

Hi There,

I was wondering if there is a way to see the output of your warp (while in the warper) in Venue sites?
What would be the procedure?

Thanks and best regards,

Hi Michael,
Yes it is possible, but only using a DVI Capture Card.

Hi Michael,

Like Daniel said it is not possible to have the Warper display in the venue site, however you can use live warping to see the results in your venue site.

see http://manual.coolux.de/#dynamic_warping.htm

Best regards

Ok,

It all works like a charm. Thanks for that. A few more questions arise:

- When I use a Player STD in Master Mode, will I be able to use these features?

- Is there a clever way to position the lights? A top view would help, I'm lost in space...

Thanks,

Michel

Hi,

Venue Sites are a Manager only Feature. So the answer is no.

Top view. Hmm, you can move your camera there. But there is no build in Top view.
In the release lights also have bounding boxes live cameras. that should help.

Hi Daniel,

Thanks for the reply, all clear. I've put some more effort in it today.
What I noticed is when a surface is lit by a projector, the image cuts of as soon as you move the Venues camera's in a more angled position.
Is this a bug or related to a setting?

If you look at the picture you see a sharp line in the left corner. as soon as I move the cam perpendicular the square gets filled with the whole image.

Any idea?
Thanks

Michel

Hi Michael,

it might the Z Fighting bug, that we found in the Release Candidate.
The Release Version should have that fixed.

THAT is the by that had me re-program my show on Monday!

It only happened in one client... And it would follow the site! If I changed to my backup (by changing ips and swapping the source using a matrix switcher) the problem stayed with that site.

This was the only show - stopping big that I came across.
There was at least 1 other "minor" big I can think of.
I will submit a ticket.

I'm glad that this has been addressed though.

At 3 am, it was very frustrating to say the least... But I know it was completely on me for using the RC...
You even warn us!

Cheers!
