midi out from manager to control audio mixer

Hi all,
I want control on/off audio mixer channel (yamaha ls9) from the manager timeline on layer WD.
I have motu on manager pc not on WD pc.

If I connect midi out from motu to midi in ls9 work ?

Is possible ?

Hi,

sorry, but that will not work. If you want to send MIDI from WD you need a MIDI Out on the WD Computer.

There are very inexpensive USB to MIDI available.

Hey,

well you could run a WD on the manager machine just to send the midi commands. You can enable the remoting port and use your "main" WD to control the secondary WD (which is on the manager).

That could be a WD STD (Freeware) on the Manager computer if I am correct!
