DMX output through Enttec DMX USB Pro

Postby matt_knelsen » Thu Jul 31, 2014 12:34 am

Hello there,

I am trying to control some PAR-LEDs using Pandoras Box, through DMX. What I have available is an Enttec DMX USB Pro interface. I know that this is possible through Art-Net/Ethernet by using the Enttec Ethernet DMX interface, but shouldn't it work with the USB device as well? If so, how is it done?

I'm using PB Player PRO version 5.5, rev 9410, Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.

Appreciate any advice on this!

And what about ELC dmXLAN node3? I can't figure out how to use it through artnet...

As far as i know, it is not possible to use the Enttec USB versions.

ELC Node3 is no problem, you can use it as DMX in and DMX out:
- Configuration - Remote Protocols
- Activate ArtNet in and/Or Out, depending on what you need, in your case ArTnet Out
- Select the PAR-Leds
- goto the patch tab
- set there the right DMX address, ArtNet Subnet and ArtNet Universe like it is set on your Node3
- Eventualy you have to select also the right network card, depending of how many network cards your Pandoras Box system has
- Used network card must be in the same IP address as the Node 3, standard the Node3 has a 2.x.x.x IP address, with subnet 255.0.0.0

Thank you for the reply!

Indeed my problem was a wrong subnet mask number. After I read your considerations, I corrected the mask number and it worked like a charm. Thanks!
