FreeImage.dll missing

I've just upgraded a number of players to version 5.7. All identical hardware/software spec and all were running identical spec before.
Just one of the players won't run the client software and gives a missing component error stating FreeImage.dll could not be found and try re-installing the program.

Have verified FreeImage.dll exists, have tried copying another dll from a working machine, tried re-installing the software with a known good installer, same result.

Any ideas?

Yes only one user account on them which is admin.

After running the software as a master (which worked), closing it and running the client it opened just fine.

Think that machine may have an issue and I will re-image the hard drive and see how we go.

Since upgrading in getting Critical Errors from all sites that fonts are missing but none are listed in the error.
Any idea how to stop that?

Hello,

most of the times a "dll not found" error actually means that the dll was found, but it could not be loaded due to missing dependencies. If your error persists then I suggest you grab this handy tool: http://www.dependencywalker.com/

You can drag the "FreeImage.dll" onto the dependendy walker and the use the "File" -> "Save" menu to save something like a .dwi file. Send that to your support email address, we might be able to figure out what is missing.

So you guys don't know what that dll is dependant on? It's in the coolux install folder...

Hi,

of cause we know which dll it depends on. But the we do not know your system. And since it is not one of our systems we do not know what is missing.
Dependency walker will tell you which dll is missing in the system. That way we can figure out, which dll or runtime or whatever is not installed on your system.

We also can figure out if we need to include it into our Installer in the future or if it should have been installed in regular Windows install.

Regarding the fonts. No Idea what is going wrong.
Which OS is your Manager, which OS are your Clients?
Can you send us your log files from Manager and Client.

The Client will report a missing font every time it is asked to use a font that does not exist on the client system.

So without having time yet to download the tool mentioned or re ghost the system.
However creating a new user account has fixed the problem, so something is amiss with the user account.

As for the fonts, that was due to this being an older version file upgraded. So the font field was actually blank and then it was looking for a 'blank' font. Changing the asset to Arial font solved the issue.
