Smpte issue

Postby djrappa » Wed Nov 26, 2014 5:53 pm

Using smpte link on a manager in a previously working system. New show file.

We are spitting smpte out of qlab to a smpte link via the audio console.

All works but the play head is no smooth. We see skips, jitters and the occasional skip.
All are set to 25fps

We tried adjusting the audio signal level down to the point it dropped out and then up from that but we has no success.

A grand ma 2 is also getting the code and behaves just fine.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

So are you saying it works in a different Showfile on the same PB Rev?
That would be very strange and can only be a configuration Problem.

Is the timeline on the same Framerate as the incoming SMTPE Framerate?

How do you splitt the Signal? What happens if you swap the Outputs of the splitter?
What if you only attach the Manager without any splitter?

Not exactly. The audio playback has changed so the system is not as it always was. What I meant is that there is nothing wrong with the manager itself as it did work before.

More looking for what could be wrong that would cause this behavior? If the timeline free wheels all is good. Timeline and smpte and the audio file all at 25fps.

The audio is a direct out, no splitter.
