Postby Ebbe » Mon Dec 01, 2014 12:03 am

Using MagicQ to Control PB Player Std.
I want to show a Picture and than blnd over/crossfade to next Picture nicely.
Do i have to use 2 different layers to cross between or can i do it somehow on the same layer so that pandora makes a nice transition to next pic?

Hello,

Transitions are done with two layers. You can use the Transition FX to have fancy blends.

If the pictures should simply run automatically you can also use a Playlist in PB to let the pictures play one after another with a fade.

Ah. But, how does the Transition effect know what layer to blend over to?

Hey,

It doesn't. It is only capable of blending out the layer in a different way.

Hello,

put some media on two layers (1&2). Now apply the Transition FX to Layer 2. From the list, select a Transition and put the "Mix" parameter to max. Now use the opacity fader of layer 2 to fade. You will probably see what I mean just by doing that.

It is pretty straight forward. Just make sure you are not changing the "Mix" parameter when fading. Use the regular opacity of the layer to fade.
