Hello,

MXL/MPV files are the format used by the encoder extension.

You can split video files into smaller chunks. You might also use Image Sequences. For performance reasons you probably have to split them up anyway. For Image Sequences you need SSD drives, and depending on your licence you might not be allowed to play back files larger than 4K. (some Player licences)

If you tell us more about your setup then we can help you better.

yes I know what types of files that the encoder uses .. yes .. I know I can divide the video into as many pieces ..
but it is not what I want ..
i want to play a video with 5760x1080 ... I have it in mov format that is already in 5760, however he ratchet ... I wanted to convert to mxl ... but when I convert to mxl he gets 4080.
I would like to know if you have any of these other formats that accept video in 5760 ..???

That is not possible.

MXL max size width is 4080.

You can make a DDS image sequence larger than that if your hardware can handle it and your license supports it. Otherwise you have to split the file.

Hi,

There is also the QuickTime ProRes codec which support HUGE resolutions. But again, you have to make sure your hardware can play it properly.

It also depends on your license.
Player Standard = 2k
Player Pro = 4k
Server = 8k

Unfortunately you can't go over 4086 with a Player license.
