Dongle activated/deactivated

Postby lzlofi » Sat Nov 07, 2015 5:52 pm

Hi.

I was recently installing the latest release of PB (player std) on my home hardware for pre-programming. However the installation was successful, but during dongle search there was this message: dongle found, de-activated.
What this mean? Should I do something with this message or just ignore it? I also remember that last time (maybe week before) I did PB manager installation at office also with latest release. At that time the dongle search message was: dongle found, activated?

Since everything seems to work ok, this isn't big deal. But still interested what those messages mean.

Cheers,

Lasse

It means the encoder extension.
In the player license it's deactivated.
In manager activated.

cheers,

Hey,

like Benni said, Managers and Servers have the encoder extension included. For Player licences its optional and you have to pay a fee to have it on them.
