Video/audio sync problem

Postby introdans » Fri Nov 27, 2015 2:18 am

Hi there,

On a recent production i experienced some strange behaviour on the asio audio engine.

I was programming a show but when i started halfway a video (to program a certain scene) audio gets out of sync about 90% of the time. Sometimes by a couple frames, sometimes by more then a couple seconds!

Playing this show from A to Z gives accurate sync (within 2 frames i guess).

What can cause this?

I use custom hardware (I7 4700 hq laptop) with an RME fireface UCX audio card linked to a playr pro custom build.
both player & preview window were as sync as they can be 99% of the time, fur sure that was not the problem.

Thanks for all the responce!

Yeah. It is probably the master clock then.
Make sure you have the site (probably local) that has the ASIO device and then select master clock.
Don't select more than 1 master...
