Video file types and sizes

Postby cormac.conn » Tue Mar 15, 2016 1:12 pm

Hi guys,

I have pretty basic question that I'm hoping someone can help me with.

We have an event in July which will be a 4 x projector blend, so we'll be using the 4 x outputs from our PB Quad Server. Another company is designing the content and they want to know what size to build the videos. We have differing opinions in our office on what is the best file type and size to use in Pandora, so I wanted to get advice from the experts. What is the best file type to render animations/videos in for playback over the four outputs in Pandora's Box? (While maximising quality of course!)

Find out what your resolution is going to end up being... takes a little bit of math...

After you have that number - have them create the content at that res.

I have been very very happy with HAP and HAP Alpha on the last dozen or so shows that I've been working on.

How did you come to the conclusion that you need 4 projectors for the event? If you are correct and you know the resolution of the projectors you will be using you should have all the info you need to calculate the res that the content needs to be.
